2. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small data files that are stored on your browser or device when you visit our website. Cookies are helpful in personalizing your experience and help us better understand you and your needs.
Cookies can be either hosted by us (“first-party cookies”) or trusted third parties (“third-party cookies”). We want to make sure your experience is best fit for you. To support that we mainly use our own first-party cookies to keep track of your interactions with our website so we may answer your questions more effectively. Further, we use third-party analytics services like Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity.
We also use browser session storage (cleared automatically when you close the tab) to remember, within a single visit:
- How you arrived (referrer and campaign parameters such as utm_source)
- A random per-visit identifier that helps us group activity within that visit
Session storage is scoped to one browser tab, expires when the tab closes, and cannot be used to recognize you across visits. Your cookie consent choice itself is stored in local storage so we do not show you the banner on every page.
3. How We Use Cookies
We use two categories of cookies: strictly necessary cookies that are required for the site to function, and optional analytics and advertising cookies that are only set with your consent.
Strictly Necessary
These cookies are essential for user login sessions and identity management within our application. They are set only in response to actions you take, such as logging in or enabling MFA.
| Host | Cookies | Purpose | Lifespan |
|---|---|---|---|
| app.getsignals.ai | _mfa, sid | User session & MFA | 30 days, 7 days |
| atonom.ai | atonom_region | Your country/region code (e.g. “US-CA”), used only to apply the correct privacy rules for where you are. Contains no identifier. | 24 hours |
Analytics and advertising
Whether analytics and advertising cookies are set by default depends on the privacy law where you are. One choice covers both: site measurement (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity) and advertising — Google Ads measurement / remarketing via our GA4 ↔ Google Ads link (no separate Google Ads website tag on this site), and the LinkedIn Insight Tag for LinkedIn advertising measurement and remarketing.
- European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland, and Quebec (opt-in regions): these cookies are set only if you click Accept on our cookie banner. If you decline, we keep only anonymous, cookieless analytics (page views, events) that cannot identify you across sessions.
- Everywhere else, including all U.S. states (opt-out regions): analytics and advertising cookies are on by default, as permitted by applicable law. You can opt out at any time using the controls in Section 4 below — opting out deletes the cookies immediately.
In all regions we honor the Global Privacy Control browser signal as an opt-out: if your browser sends it, these cookies are never set, no banner is shown, and no action is needed from you.
| Provider | Cookies | Purpose | Lifespan |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics | _ga, _ga_* | Analytics — cross-session user identification | 2 years |
| Google Ads | _gcl*, e.g. _gcl_au | Advertising — click measurement and remarketing / personalization via our GA4 ↔ Google Ads link | Up to ~90 days |
| Microsoft Clarity | _clck, _clsk | Analytics — session replay & heatmaps (how pages are used). Content you type is masked by default. | _clck ~1 year, _clsk ~1 day |
| LinkedIn Insight Tag | li_sugr, _li* | Advertising — LinkedIn conversion measurement and remarketing audiences | Up to ~90 days |
Microsoft Clarity also records anonymized session replays and builds aggregate heatmaps so we can see how pages are used (where people click, scroll, or get stuck). Clarity masks the content you type — including input fields, email addresses, and numbers — by default, so that content is not captured. Session replay follows the same consent rules and the same Accept / opt-out controls as Google Analytics above, and we send no Clarity data to Google Analytics.
Cookieless server-side measurement
When you complete an action on our site (for example, subscribing to a newsletter or requesting a demo), our own servers record that the action happened, together with the campaign parameters described above (such as utm_source and the page you were on). This measurement happens on our servers, sets no cookies, stores no identifiers on your device, and never includes your email address or other contact details. It works the same whether you accept or decline cookies.
4. Your Privacy Choices
You may opt out of, allow, or reset analytics and Google advertising cookies at any time. Your choice is saved in this browser and overrides the regional default. This control also serves as our “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” / “Your Privacy Choices” mechanism for residents of California and other U.S. states with similar laws — including sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising through Google Ads personalization / remarketing when those cookies are on. We do not sell personal information for money.
5. Your Browser Settings
You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse cookies or delete existing ones. Note that blocking all cookies may affect login functionality on our platform.
6. Changes To This Policy
We may update or change our cookie usage from time to time. We will keep the most up-to-date Policy on this page and if any changes are made, we will update the updated date at the top of this Policy.
